Converting Pressure to Pounds Per Square Inch

Sometimes pressure is expressed in terms of “Feet of Water” “Feet of Head”. To convert to pressure in standard terms of “pounds per square inch” (PSIG) do the following.

 Feet of Water x .433 = PSIG

or

PSIG x 2.31 = Feet of Water

For example: 15ft of water x .433 = 6.5 PSIG
